What should I say, my first trip with Cryptic Safaris and with Ben Ndambuki on board. A smart guide with so much knowledge about the Kenyan animals. If you want to know anything about elephants, this guy will give you ALL the answers. We had such a wonderful tour and I can’t wait to get back to Kenya a start another great safari.
He got also very good driving skillz and is a perfect guide for photographic or private safaris. You will have a lot of fun and enjoy every minute.

A magical experience
I recently traveled with Cryptic Safaris on my first trip to Africa for the Great Migration. I had a wonderful experience with personalized service every step of the way. The guides were exceptionally knowledgeable about the areas we visited and shared information about the animals, plants, and background about Kenya. I’m already thinking about when I might go back again for more adventure with this amazing team
Trip of a lifetime
To say this trip, Ben and his guides, exceeded my expectations is a huge under statement. My time in Kenya and Tanzania was amazing. Our guides were so knowledgeable and willing to share insights about the bush and the various species it only added to the uniqueness of this adventure. Time spent driving, observing and relaxing with Ben, Robert and Chiba (?) sp. added so much to our over all experience. All the guides were willing to give us the experiences we wanted wether it be an exceptionally long day, starting with a hot air ballon ride and ending with seeing a treed cheetah at sunset. Or sitting for long periods of time observing hypos in their mating rituals or large prides of lions resting from a hunt to playing with young cubs to massive numbers of wilderbeast migrating to the Serengeti to seeing an extinct cat, a Caracaol, in the Ngorongoro Crater.
The lodges we stayed in were lovely, fitting of the environment we were in, ranging from quaint to luxurious. Everyone we encountered from management to the staff at the various lodges was friendly and willing to do whatever you needed or wanted to ensure your stay exceeded your expectations.
This trip was not a cookie cutter trip. It was planned with our interest in mind. I would certainly recommend Ben and his staff to anyone wanting to experience Kenya and Tanzania.

Wonderful Safari! - I spent 10 days with Ben and Cryptic Safaris in March of 2021. Not only were the logistics and accommodations excellent, Ben and his fellow guide Mo, are accomplished ornithologists, as well as cat and lion experts.
It was such a wonderful and life-altering experience, I am going back in August during the migration for almost 3 weeks.

Spectacular! - This was my first trip to Kenya but certainly not my last. Ben and his colleagues provided a life changing experience, sharing their expert knowledge of the wildlife- elephants, cats, birds, and so much more. I can't wait o see what else they have to offer.

I have traveled with Ben and his team before and have never been disappointed. Time and time again my expectations are exceeded...a feat which becomes increasingly difficult over time. How many times can you raise the bar?
Everything was top-notch: the itinerary, accommodations, logistics, hand-offs, transportation, expertise, etc....nothing was left to chance and, more importantly, I knew that I did not need to worry about any of the details.
Ben (and the others on his team) are incredibly knowledgeable and skilled and demonstrate a more-than-healthy respect for the environment and the wildlife. If you are looking for the type of experience where rules are broken and animals harassed in order to get a better photo, then this may not be the experience for you.
But if you are seeking a meaningful experience that provides a multitude of opportunities to take in the natural beauty of Kenya and to observe the lives/behaviors of the animals that live there, then you can't go wrong with Cryptic.

First trip to Kenya, wonderful experience - I was fortunate enough to experience Kenya for the first time with Ben at Cryptic Safaris. It was wonderful visiting Nairobi and three other conservancies and parks. We benefited from Ben's experience and deep knowledge of animals and birds and
had an opportunity to sample the best of what Kenya has to offer.
From pick-up at the airport to return everything was seamless. The hotels and lodges had been chosen carefully and all of the transfers were well organized. Ben and his team could not have taken better care of us. I am looking forward to future adventures with Cryptic Safaris!
